This is one of the best and hardest working machines in our arsenal! Great for small places. The customer support is always on task and point.

I live in a high rise apartment and have 1,000 sq ft of balconies that get really dirty every few days. I have a Bissell scrubber which I use in the house, but needed something heavy duty outside. The SM430 is in some way overkill but it gets the job done and is one of the most affordable commercial quality machines. I give it 4/5 stars.

Pros:
* Gets the job done and quickly, one pass gets 90% of the dirt, second pass gets you to 95%
* Battery powered makes it easier to maneuver as you're not managing cords while using the machine.
* The machine folds up in "parking position" and is easy to move and store (but with caveat down below)

Cons:
* The fresh water tank isn't matched to the waste tank; you will run out of water in less than 10 minutes and the waste tank will be half full. It would be better if they were closely matched so that one fresh water tank fills the waste tank.
* When you empty the waste tank it's hard to get 100% of the waste out. It empties form the top, and the waste input hose and filter opening are also at the top. What happens is when you empty the waste, some of it back flows through the filter and it leaves behind a bit of waste in the tank due to the shape. Then when you put it upright, a small amount of waste goes down the overflow hose and out the bottom of the tank and spills/drips dirty water all over the floor. It's not easy to empty the waste tank without spilling a drop of dirty waste water.
* Parking position is great when you're done with the machine, but when you need to pause to empty/fill tanks or move something out of the way, the machine doesn't have an upright stable position like most vacuums and other scrubbers. You need to slide something like a latch/bolt open down by the machine base, fold down a metal bar held by a magnet and insert it into a pretty tight slot, then get the bolt/latch closed over the bar. There isn't even a mention of this in the manual that I could find and it takes effort to get this to work. It should be improved because it's such a pain that many people will just balance the handle against something or their body awkwardly rather than use the bolt/bar way. The upper assembly is pretty heavy, especially if the tanks are full, and if dropped the handle would damage what it hit or possibly even become damaged itself.
* There is no indication that I can see when the fresh water tank runs out or the waste tank needs filling. Even a simple float or clear window would be very helpful. The machine is heavy and as per the point above awkward to get into upright position so you can pull the tanks and check the level.

I have been using it for a year, its very useful in the winter time here in Ohio because of the salt residue that my mops can't get off the floors. Pure constant wind! We use it in the shop and it moves more air than any fan. With temps well into the 90s and humidity that just makes you feel like a slug this monster air mover really does the job!

Mixed feelings about my purchase for my business. I have a patio with 2 large overhanging maple trees that shed seeds and leaves this time of year. The unit was easy to assemble though the directions were minimally helpful. I didn't see anything related to how to use the height adjustments in front though it wasn't hard to figure out. The unit was heavier to carry and push than I imagined. Anyone with physical limitations would have a hard time using it. The front brushes made the unit quite wide. Using it on a pressed concrete patio with tables and chairs made it difficult to use without 1st moving all the furniture to 1 side. The bin that contains all the debris swept up acts like it's full when it's only half way. Since there's no mechanical vacuum effect, the debris congregates just behind the brush, often jamming up and never reaching the back half of the bin. On the positive side, it picks up those hard to pick up seeds better than my leaf blower. Some really full areas may need 2 passes but no more. Those side brushes due an excellent job of pushing debris away from walls and channeling it to the rear brush that picks it up. The bin is easy to empty and replace back. It folds into a pretty compact size compared to its footprint when in use. I think I'll appreciate it more on my front sidewalk where there is no furniture and mostly cigarette butts to pick up.

It is amazing! Its not terribly loud at all, but definitely not a sleeping fan lol It moves air like its nobody's business on the LOWEST SETTING, the highest setting had the room feeling like a wind tunnel. Best purchase i have made in a very long time, well worth the money especially on the hot days that we've been having in the Midwest. The power of the fan is phenomenal, it literally has recoil if you pick it up while its on lol. The size is somewhat expected as its moving a lot of air very quickly. The weight is on the heavier side so definitely dont lift with your back when moving it unless you use the wheels it has preattached. It feels very durable with a hard shell so it won't crack easily. Overall a 10/10 purchase, would buy another but 1 is all you really need lol

This is a great brush to use on hand made rugs. It is so gentle that even delicate rugs won't get damaged. Maybe the name should be changed to the "Softest" brush ever.
